Associate a Reassurance with a Call to Action using Colour
(mt) Media Temple is a hosting company based in California. They have a beautifully designed website that instils a lot of confidence.
One design feature I really like though is how they associate the ‘Order Now’ button and the ‘Money Back Guarantee’ link. Instead of putting this important reassurance underneath the button, they have simply associated them together using colour. Clever. A little similar to the highlighting we saw recently.
Of course, it’s not just any colour, it’s blue. And on the Web, blue is a special colour. Many experts have pitched in on the importance and power of putting links in blue over the years - Jakob Nielsen, Gerry McGovern (my ex boss) and Dan Thies to name but a few.
